Browsing the web today I found this really cool tool. It is called Music Maps and allows you to go anywhere in the world and see who the top 10 musicians are. You'll be surprised who they are in different countries. I never knew Linkin Park was so popular in Russia.Via[GraceNote]

Musicovery - The New Way to Discover Music

The other day I stumbled upon this gem. Through certain settings such as choosing your mood, which decade, if not all, you will be a second away from discovering new music. The way that it came in handy for me was getting ready for Friday night, I just chose energetic music and I had endless tunes coming out of my speakers.

Animusic, so good, SO GOOD!

If you've never heard of Animusic, I'm sorry to say it, but you have been missing out. In a nutshell it's 3D visualizations of MIDI music. Which means....trippy stuff, that you can't stop watching. With great music and cool effects through the whole DVD your bound to want more. For you people who just thought, "Shit! it's a DVD, I don't want to buy it god damn it!" I found the whole thing on youTube broken into 7 parts (songs), so you can watch them while stealing your neighbors WiFi or on your slow college internet (like me).

I don't know the name of this or exactly it's purpose, but it's fun to play with regardless. In a nutshell it allows you to control the the volume of the sound as well as what instruments are playing in it's catchy song loop.
